What is HobbyQuantHQ?
HobbyQuantHQ is a collectibles intelligence and marketplace platform starting with Funko Pops. We provide a 15,000+ item database, real sale price analytics, a peer-to-peer marketplace, and a public REST API.
Is it free to use?
Yes. A free account gives you full access to the database, release calendar, community, and basic analytics. Pro ($9.99/mo) and Elite ($29.99/mo) plans unlock advanced analytics and higher API rate limits.
Is HobbyQuantHQ affiliated with Funko?
No. We are an independent platform and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Funko, LLC.
Buying
How do I buy a listing?
Find a listing you want, click "Buy Now", and complete checkout via Stripe. Your payment details are handled entirely by Stripe — we never store your card information.
What payment methods are accepted?
All major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover) via Stripe. Apple Pay and Google Pay are available on supported browsers.
What is the buyer protection policy?
If an item arrives significantly not as described, contact support within 7 days of delivery. We'll mediate with the seller. Stripe's dispute resolution applies to payment issues.
Selling
How do I become a seller?
Create a free account, go to My Shop, and click "Connect Stripe". You'll link your bank account via Stripe Connect. Once connected, you can publish listings immediately.
What is the seller fee?
We charge 10% of the sale price, with a minimum of $0.50 and a maximum of $20.00 per sale. There is no listing fee or monthly seller subscription.
When do I get paid?
Funds settle to your Stripe balance within 2–5 business days after a successful sale. You can request a payout to your bank account at any time from your Stripe dashboard.
Can I list internationally?
Yes. Stripe Connect is available in the US, UK, EU, Canada, Australia, and many other countries. Check Stripe's supported countries page for the full list.
What can I sell?
Any legitimate Funko Pop collectible in any condition, as long as it's accurately described. No counterfeit items, no stolen goods, no prohibited items per our Terms of Service.
Payments & Payouts
How are payments processed?
All payments use Stripe's PaymentIntent API. Buyers pay with their card; Stripe routes the funds to the seller's Stripe Connect account minus our platform fee.
Can I get a refund?
Sellers can issue full or partial refunds from their shop dashboard within 60 days of the transaction. Buyers can also open a dispute through Stripe for eligible cases.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. We never see or store your card details. All payment data is tokenised and handled by Stripe, which is PCI DSS Level 1 certified.
API & Developers
How do I get an API key?
Log in, navigate to the Developer portal, and create an API key. Free accounts get up to 5 active keys. Keys authenticate requests via the X-API-Key header.
What are the rate limits?
Free: 30 requests/min. Pro: 120 requests/min. Elite: 600 requests/min. Analytics endpoints have lower limits regardless of plan.
Is there an OpenAPI spec?
Yes. Our interactive API reference and OpenAPI 3.1 spec are available at /public/v1/docs. You can import the spec into Postman, Insomnia, or any OpenAPI-compatible tool.
Can I set up webhooks?
Yes. Free accounts can register up to 10 webhook endpoints. Supported events: listing.created, listing.updated, listing.sold, funko.pop.updated, shop.updated. Payloads are signed with HMAC-SHA256.
Privacy Policy
What data do you collect?
We collect the email address, username, and optional avatar you provide at registration. We store your listings, collection data, and transaction history to operate the platform.
Do you sell my data?
No. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
How long do you retain my data?
Account data is retained while your account is active. You can request deletion by emailing support. Transaction records are retained for 7 years for legal and tax compliance.
Terms of Service
What are my responsibilities as a seller?
You are responsible for accurately describing your items, shipping promptly, and complying with applicable laws including sales tax obligations in your jurisdiction.
What conduct is prohibited?
Listing counterfeit items, misrepresenting condition, manipulating reviews, creating fake accounts, or any activity that violates applicable law or Stripe's acceptable use policy.
Can my account be suspended?
Yes. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate our Terms of Service, have excessive dispute rates, or engage in fraudulent activity.
